About Lao'd District

Lao’d District was born from a love of food, culture, and community. We opened our doors in Houston’s Chinatown to share something that felt personal recipes passed down through generations, made with care, and served with warmth and have expanded to our second larger location in the heart of Sugarland.

Our roots are in Laos, where meals are meant to be shared, flavors are bold, and hospitality runs deep. Lao’d District is more than just a restaurant. It’s a gathering place. A family table. A celebration of culture, comfort, and connection.Whether you’re new to Lao and Thai food or grew up eating it, we’re here to serve you something real—with heart,

When I say it took me 4 years to find good Lao food in the Houston area… and I finally found it. Ricky is so welcoming and remembers who comes through his door. Great food and amazing drinks! My kids also loved it too! Give them a try!

Lao’d District in Sugar Land is such a great spot! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful and inviting, and the overall experience was amazing. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for great food, good vibes, and a memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back! ❤️🔥

Just as great if not better than the first location in Bellaire. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The food was phenomenal from the appetizers to the main entrees I had no complaints. 11/10 Would recommend.

Delicious food. The atmosphere is very welcomed. The service is excellent. You ordered from the phone App, but the waiters keep up with you making sure your needs are met. We ordered the steak tiger cry, jerky and a noodle dish. They are all very tasty!! We certainly will come back again soon.
